7k NEWS
Nearly a decade ago, 7k said hello to music fans - but today, we say goodbye. The path from our very first release, The Glovebox EP, all the way through our third album and second U.S. tour has been an exhilarating, inspiring journey which has changed the three of us, for good, and which we will never forget. It would be impossible to capture all of our thoughts and emotions in one short email, so we won't attempt it. What's most important to the three of us is that you know this: we are amazed, humbled and deeply inspired by the encouragement, support and unconditional love you have given each of us over the past ten years. A band really only exists in the listening of its fans, and we have had the very best in you. The three of us have always thought of 7k as a venn diagram, a collection of overlapping circles, where each circle represents one of us: his dreams, desires and persona, and the region where all the circles overlap was where 7k lived. The simple answer to "Why is 7k saying goodbye?" is that, while our individual circles continue to grow, the overlapping region where 7k lives has become too small to provide each of us what he really wants. The truth is, we have made this choice with no negativity or bitterness, and there was no incident or transgression of any kind. The three of us continue to love, admire and support one another. Each of us will certainly continue to make music. The truth is, none of us would trade our experiences in 7k for anything in the world. Please continue to listen to your favorite 7k songs. We made that music for you and it will last as long as you keep playing it. Please keep in touch with each of us. There's no way to express how important you, the you who is reading this right now, has been to each of us in his every day life. We've met you, we know you, and you are extraordinary. Please reach out and stay in touch with us: Corey: facebook.com/corey.manske David: facebook.com/david.neil.black Jeff: twitter.com/jeffgarvinmusic, facebook.com/jeffgarvin Now is the time to get online and get the rest of the 7k catalog. Our music will continue to be available on iTunes, Amazon and CDBaby. We still have 7k merchandise in stock but it will go very fast and we won't be reordering. Visit our online store and grab some memorabilia at a big discount before it's all gone. We treated ourselves to this rehearsal in December 2010. At the time, none of us knew it would be our last. These are the last eight songs the three of us played together: 1. Take it Off (chosen by David) 2. Remember Me (chosen by Jeff) 3. The Wrong Girl (chosen by Corey) 4. Little Bit More (chosen by David) 5. Baggage Claim (chosen by Jeff) 6. California is the End (chosen by David) 7. My High Life (chosen by Jeff) 8. What You Do (chosen by Corey) Thank you from the deepest parts of our hearts. We've truly loved every minute! With Love and Music, Corey, David and Jeff P.S. We'd also like to take a moment to acknowledge and thank three other members of this band's family tree, without whom there would be no 7k: Carlos Rivera, Jr., Micah Bermoy and Randy Catiller.

Anaheim, CA -- As if recording a new single as the holiday season rapidly approaches weren’t enough, the 7k boys are also trying their hands at a few new things. After recently performing at a wedding, 7k has joined taxi.com to begin having their music reviewed for and potentially placed in video games, movie soundtracks, television advertisements and theme music. Last weekend all three members attended the Taxi Road Rally convention in Los Angeles to participate in panel discussions about songwriting, publishing, licensing, production, promotion and placement. Mixing for “I Will Hold You Up” has begun but will be postponed until early next week to allow for the NACA West Convention in Ontario, CA this weekend. As on tour, 7k will have a booth in the student marketplace to discuss scheduling and booking for 7k performances for 2011. The trio plan to return to the studio next week to put finishing touches on the new single so it can be ready in time to be everyone’s favorite stocking stuffer.

Huntington Beach, CA - July 8, 2009
7k has launched their brand new website, www.7ktheband.com. After years of relying solely on myspace for their web presence, the band decided it was time to develop their own independent website. Designer Scott Sanford of www.fearthegeek.com designed and built the site, while graphic artist/photographer Paul Rivera, photographer Byron Werner, and band members all contributed content.
The launch of 7ktheband.com coincides with the release of 7k's new music video and the launch of 7ktv, the band's new youtube channel. The new website features photos, news feeds, biographical info, and offers direct connectivity to the band's myspace, facebook, blogger and youtube pages.
